Although Phil Ivey took the backseat in the early stages, he soon kicked it up a notch higher when he played Heads-Up against Brandon Wong and won the WSOP APAC $2,200 Mixed Event. A great run ended short of the gold as Phil Ivey took home bracelet number nine along with AU$51,840 in prize money.
